Product Description:
Cryptosporidium sps. is now recognized as an important intestinal
pathogen in patients with HIV infection. Routine parasitological
techniques fail to demonstrate this protozoa. Modified Acid Fast
staining techniques prove effective in staining this organism.
For staining these slides SDL’s new product
AcriFluor or other fluorescent
techniques or Crypto Kinyoun Mini & Standard Stain Sets (Cat
No. 371 & 373) are available. Each Mini-Stain Set contains two
15ml leakproof dropping bottles with Stain and Counterstain and
30ml of Decolorizer. The Standard Stain Set contains three 60ml
bottles. Instructions for staining are included in package insert.
SDL's Crypto Kinyoun Modified Acid Fast Stain Set (Cat. No. 379)
contains a 250ml bottle of each of the necessary reagents.
