Metheno-Stain is a rapid and easy-to-use eight minute stain system for the visualization of Pneumocystis carinii and fungi from tissue and aspirates. This highly sensitive technique stains organisms dark brown to black, making them easy to recognize even at lower scanning magnifications. No expensive equipment is needed. Forty or more slides can be prepared from each set. Shelf life is one year under refrigeration.
