This new fluorescent technique for documentation of Acid Fast organisms in tissue and smears is both rapid and specific. The new modified AcriFluor stains all acid fast organisms so that you can find them easily. Whether you have Cryptosporidia, Nocardia & Isospora in stool, Nocardia in tissue, or Mycobacteria in sputum, the organisms simply light up on the slide. A single organism is easy to find. This non-antibody technique is extremely cost effective. The procedure takes less than twenty minutes to perform. One kit will enable you to do hundreds of assays. The kit comes with one 125 ml bottle of Acri-Fluor™ and one 125 ml bottle of Decolorizer/Quencher. SDL’s printed TB slides make a valuable addition to the stain.

Now have a standardized permanent, preservative fixed control for use with India Ink. This suspension of Cryptococcus is grown to maximize capsule production. Each vial contains 1 ml of fluid containing many organisms. India Ink Negative Control is a 1ml suspension of Candida albicans.

Fungi-Tape is an efficient way of performing slide mounts of fungi from primary cultures. The adhesive tape is pliable enough for you to make a tape loop and then sample your culture. This product is fully compatible with MycoPerm to create a long lasting coverslip. Each roll contains approximately 360 coverslips.

This unique kit gives the mycologist all of the necessary reagents to aid in the identification of fungi. Each kit comes with six (3.5ml) dropping bottles of 10% KOH, Brite-Fluor, one bottle 12ml of MycoPerm and a durable rack. How does it work? Each of the two sealed slide chambers contains a cellulose cylinder with dehydrated media. To initiate, rehydrate the media with enclosed reconstituting fluid. Then inoculate from either a direct source or by subculture. One chamber contains Sabauraud Dextrose medium and the other Potato Flake medium.
